To think of OPM as an umbrella that comprises of Portfolios, Programs and Projects wouldn’t be wrong. Infact in the similar hierarchy, you can consider OPM as something that comes above Portfolio.

– Organization Project Management is a strategic framework to guide portfolios
– A portfolio selects and prioritizes programs and projects
– A program co-ordinates the management of similar projects
– And a project delivers a new product, service or result
