Procurement Management Plan (and other outputs of Plan Procurement Management Process)

Just like other similar processes, the outcome of the Plan Procurement Management process is a plan. Here it is known as the Procurement Management Plan.

Procurement Management Plan

This is one of the most important outputs of the Plan Procurement Management process. This document contains,

• Planned schedule for the deliverables that are contracted
• Procurement related templates that will be used in the project
• Contract types that will be used as part of the project
• Metrics to be used to measure contractor’s performance
• Assumptions or constraints related to procurement that the project team is aware of

Other Outputs

Some other outputs of this process include,

Procurement Statement of Work (SOW)

Statement of Work (SOW) is typically a list of items that needs to be contracted. Note that this document will be shared with potential procurement partners later and thus it shouldn’t contain any confidential information

Make or Buy Decisions

Using the Make or Buy Decision Analysis, you will be documenting your findings. This will not only be your rationale for contracting or not contracting the work but can also be used for future reference.
